Dear baby,  You are absolutely correct. Since our body is three dimensional, having your breasts augmented , will create the visual impression of less width to the shoulders.   To illustrate it better, I'll give you an example from the facial features proportionality. When the chin is small and weak in profile, it create the impression of larger nose.
