I am planning to have my saline breast implants removed, which are around 250cc's. Original size was 30/32 A/AA before and after small C or large B. Im wondering if my breasts will look bad and saggy? More importantly, will they be bigger or smaller than my original size. I just wasn't sure if they cut away any fat tissue when removing implants. Im 32, never had children and weight has only fluctuated around 10 lbs. I currently am 5'3 and weigh about 100lbs. Thanks so much!
Answer: After removal of my implants, will my size be the smaller or bigger than original and will they sag? My best suggestion: seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate significant experience with revisionary breast surgery. Then, after physical examination and a careful communication of your goals, the best course of action can be determined. In office deflation of the breast implants may be a good option for some patients with saline implants. Generally speaking, what breasts will look like after explantation depends on several factors such as: the quality of skin elasticity (the better the elasticity the better the skin will bounce back), the size of the implants used (the larger the implant the more trouble you may have with redundant skin), and the amount of breast tissue present at this time (which may have changed since the time of your breast augmentation). Life experience since your breast augmentation procedure, such as pregnancy or weight gain weight loss, will potentially influence the factors discussed above. If you take these factors into consideration and apply them to your specific circumstances you may get a good idea of what to expect after the implants are removed. Patience is definitely indicated after removal of breast implants; it will take many months for the skin to “bounce back” and for you to see the final appearance of the breasts. Again, consulting with well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons in person may be helpful. Answer: Breast size after implant removal Hi, Sakedrop,Usually after implant removal, the breast size will be smaller than that of pre-operative size.Implant has been pushing/compressing on your breast tissue and chest wall; it may decrease the breast tissue. Please visit a board-certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated in-person.Best regards.

Answer: This may sound weird, but it's what I recommend... 1. Have a board certified plastic surgeon deflate your implants in the office- they can do this under local anesthesia and it will let you see what your breasts will look like if you removed the implants without having surgery.2. Give it 4-6 weeks for your breast tissue to retract and recover from the stretching the implants were doing.3. Then at surgery, you will have an idea if you are comfortable with the way they have responded and look or if you would like to have a lift or a smaller implant replaced.I do this all the time and it works very well. It helps make informed decisions at the time of SURGERY because you already know what your breasts will look like.-JGH

Answer: After removal of implants Thank you SakedropThere are several issues here. Are you planning to remove them because they are hard and unattractive? Will they look saggy you asked. Well it sounds as though you had very little breast tissue to start with, so you will not be able to be too saggy as there will not be too much breast to sag. Will they look bad? Only you can say after they are removed. They will not be bigger than the original size.Whether or not tissue needs to be removed depends on the hardness or capsule situation. If the capsule is removed then some capsule is removed but not much breast tissue. See my photos on my site for a better understanding of what an old capsule looks like when removed. You will see that with my technique there is little breast tissue removed. If you breasts are soft you may simply remove the implants and leave the capsule. You can live with them for a while and decide later if you would like a modern implant placed which will give you a beautiful natural comfortable feeling.
