Breast lift scar treatment options? (Photos)

Question

I had surgery in December everything was good but I did have complication with wound care and small opening not closing which he went in and closed it himself after a month of trying to care for it. I have been doing scar silicon sheets but I don’t know the scars look so ugly to me and I don’t know if it will look better. Should I do laser, microneedling or morpheus8. My nipple area looks a bit faded too will the color come back? Am I overreacting?

At about five months after a December surgery, these scars are still immature and can continue to fade and soften for 12-18 months, especially after a wound-healing delay. In the photos, I can see pink/red breast-lift scars around the areola and vertical/inframammary areas, with patchy areolar color change and a previously opened/healing area; an in-person exam is needed to judge thickness, widening, pigmentation, and whether the skin is fully stable.

If all areas are closed, silicone sheets or gel, scar massage if your surgeon allows it, and strict sun protection are usually the first steps. Laser can help persistent redness or pigment changes in selected scars; microneedling or RF treatments such as Morpheus8 should be used cautiously on recently healed breast scars and only after your surgeon confirms the tissue is strong enough. Areolar color can improve, but some color difference may remain; later options can include medical tattooing or scar revision once the scars mature. Contact your surgeon promptly if there is drainage, increasing redness, worsening pain, fever, or any reopening.

Consistently using silicone sheeting can help with the appearance of the scars.  You can consider medical tattooing for nipple size asymmetry.  After a year you can also consider scar revision to improve the appearance of the wider scars.
