Hi Jen,Thanks for this question. The injection in your back should not affect your Botox injection. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
I often asked if patients are taking medications with their Botox be affected. And injection into your spine for pain or inflammation will not affect your Botox. Botox in general only has a local effect and does not travel far. Even though some studies demonstrate that Botox may travel out of the area that it was injected,it is not clinically relevant at this time.
Rest assured that your botox results will not be effected by the steroid injection to your spine.
An epidural steriod injection performed a week or so apart from Botox treatments will not alter your results.
No, your steroid injection to the spine won't negatively impact the results of your Botox treatment. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Having a steroid injection into the spine should not affect the results of a cosmetic Botox treatment, regardless of the timing of the two treatments.
Thank you for your question. No, having a steroid shot in your spin will not affect your Botox injections to the face. These are two separate areas.
Thank you for your question jencooper. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated withfacial expression. Having a steroid injection is not a contraindication to Botox and will unlikely affect the results of the Botox treatment. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
There is not contraindication for having these injections. I wouldn't worry about it whatsoever.
Thank you for your question. It can take up to 7 days to see the effects of Botox and up to 14 days to see the full effects. If you received treatment to slim your face, it will take several treatments 3 months apart before noticing the effects. This is because it takes time for the muscles to...
Thank you for your question. It may be possible that you need additional Botox to further weaken the muscles. I recommend having a follow up with your injector for evaluation and treatment. Best of Luck!
Thank you for your question ReeSherlock. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. It is difficult to make an assessment with only a still photograph. I observe my patients making facial expressions such as frowning and raising the brows to make an...

Thank you for your question. What you are experiencing is referred to the “Spock” look. This happened when the frontalis (forehead muscle) has been over treated. This can be corrected with additional Botox to the brow depressors to help raise the medial eyebrow. I recommend having a con...
Migration refers to the product traveling and affecting an unintended muscle. This is not common, but if it occurs it's soon after injection . The effects of Botox, both good and bad, however are not seen for several days after injection. If Botox migrated on the first day its effects won't...
