Should I be worry my implants hasn't fully dropped? 4 months post (photo)

I imagine that your implants will continue to settle into place over the next few MONTHS. I wouldn't undergo any revisionary surgery just yet, as you may not be seeing your final results. In some women, with large implants, it can take 6 months or longer to see your results. It takes time for the weight of the implants to stretch the lower pole breast skin. Be patient, and you may end up being very happy with your results. Thanks for sharing!

Your implants may continue to drop over the next several months. Continue to follow along with your surgeon so they can monitor your recovery. You can always obtain a second opinion but it seems early on in the process to do that now.

Thank you for you photographs and question.  I understand your frustration as we wish every patient would have a perfect result quickly after surgery, unfortunately this does not always happen.  Placing implants in the body under the muscle ( as I do) will take time to settle.  Your body as to relax and stretch to accommodate your implants, which takes time, sometimes longer than 4 months. I have my patients move the implants up and down and sometimes use a breast strap to help stretch the lower part of the breast.  You should discuss with your plastic surgeon his/her recommendations to help you achieve your best result.  Good luck.

Thank you for your questions.  Breasts can take 6-8 months to settle completely.  You are still very early in the settlement process.  I would recommend giving it some time to continue to settle on down.  I would also suggest that you follow up with your surgeon to make sure everything is progressing as it should.  Best of luck to you. 

Thank you for your question. Your implants will settle significantly over the next two months, so I would continue to be patient with the process.   During this process you'll continue to notice a change in the shape of your breasts. Dear athykay143,dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.I understand that you are worried about your implants are not dropping as expected. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.Daniel Barrett, MD

athykay143. I appreciate your concerns but still too early to worry. Your body needs more time to heal and adapt to the implants. Those implants are fairly large for someone your size. The skin and muscle over the implants must stretch a bit to allow the implants to settle into their final position. While your appearance will continue to improve, don't expect to see your final result for at least 6 months after surgery.  Trying to stay patient and positive and follow up with your plastic surgeon. athykay143    Hi There , Thank You for Your Question . I believe that those implants are a little to big for your anatomy , and the muscle will take longer to stretch , so just give it some time , you see the final results over a few months , continue with the care and the healing process will give you the satisfaction you expect .

If you wanted a hint of fake, you have an awesome outcome.  If you wanted completely natural, then no so much BUT were you telling your surgeon of your concerns as you were healing?  Implant type will also impact settling as textured implants will not settle as much or as easily as smooth round implants.  My patients are told to focus on their upper poles and to ensure they are level as they heal because that is what the world will see when you wear a tube top or plunging neckline.  Your upper poles appear level in your photos.
