Waiting for drop and fluff one one side. My left side has been high and tight and kind-of oval-shaped since surgery. I’m left handed. My right side dropped and filled out quite a bit already. I’m 5 weeks po. I had 475cc silicone unders, an anchor lift and a TT. I was already large breasted to begin with...with lots of extra saggy skin. I’ve read a lot about waiting and time will tell, but I’m also very worried. I’ve been massaging per my PS’s orders...I haven’t seen a bit of difference.
Answer: BA results Dear M1981617,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process at 5 weeks post op.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Breast Implant Asymmetry Hello,It appears as though one implant is sitting higher than the other. Your risk of capsular contracture is particularly high given the combination of augmentation and breast lift. It is very early in your recovery, and a revision surgery would not be warranted for another 6 months if it were to remain high and firm. I can assure you though that implant massage is not helpful, and should not be performed (it gives you a false sense of productivity and hope, it places the outcome on you, and it can potentially be injurious). If your surgeon isn't and ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who specializes in revision breast surgery, you may want to get a second opinion from a few if this continues to be an issue. Best of luck!

Answer: 5 weeks post op. Will my breasts even out or should I be worried about the oval-shaped left breast? Thank you for your question and congratulations for your recent multiple procedures. A mastopexy/breast lift with implants, sub muscular takes time to settle. I totally understand that you are eager to see the final result but on average it takes up to 3 months (and sometimes longer) for the breasts to look the way they should. If you are very concerned, seek the reassurance of your plastic surgeon as he/she knows exactly what has been done and therefore is in the best position to advice you.All the best.Andrea MarandoPlastic and Cosmetic SurgeonCertification in Cosmetic Surgery - 2018 - Royal College of Surgeons

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results. At the stage you are in, swelling is normal, so please be patient. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon. Good luck :)

Answer: Try not to worry over things that you cannot change as healing must happen before anything else is considered. You can ask your surgeon for any strategies that may help change the oval to round but in my practice, my patients are asked to focus on their upper poles as that is what everyone sees when wearing a tank top without bra and you appear near level in your photos. That being said, realize that the bottoms can easily be revised, often in the office under local, to achieve the outcome you are hoping for. So use your energies on healing rather than worry... its much better for you.
