Thank you for your question. EmSculpt is a great procedure for buttock lifting. It works by stimulating your gluteus muscles to contract in such an intense fashion that it builds muscle mass including new muscle fibers. The fat cells in the buttock tend to be more metabolically resistant to the effects of EmSculpt. In addition we use different pulse sequences to the buttock muscles compare to when we treat other body parts such as the abdomen. This pulse sequence is not disruptive to the fat tissue, thereby allowing for muscle building while preserving the fat. I would go visit with an experienced EmSculpt provider in your area for a consultation.
BTL Aesthetics definitely took this into consideration while designing the Emsculpt. While fat loss is almost always desired on the abdomen area, most want to keep the fat in their buttocks. There is a separate protocol (setting) that the provider sets that basically turns off the fat burning element of the HIFEM paddles. That way, you build muscle and provide a nice lift without losing any of the volume!
we do this frequently with fat injections, PRP, Bellafill or Sculptra. I suggest you see an expert in body shaping. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Newl,Thank God for those great scientists at Emsculpt. They devised two different treatment settings on Emsculpt, one preserves fat, the other reduces fat...so you are in luck. Make sure to share with your Emsculpt physician prior to your treatment. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
The Emsculpt machine is programmed for little to no fat reduction for buttock treatment. Fat reduction is only in the protocol for abdominal treatment.
The protocol for EMSculpt on the buttocks will only build muscle and have no effect on the fat. We are seeing great results with it. Make sure you see an experienced physician. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question! Emsculpt is the only device that can burn fat and build muscle at the same time, however there are two treatment options. The first option will burn fat and build muscle for those who are looking to make the area smaller and lift at the same time. The other options allows for muscle building only, so you can achieve you desired result without losing more fat.
EMSculpt is a modern and innovative form of muscle strengthening and toning. With the use of high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy, EMSculpting targets your muscles to contract with supramaximal contractions, which cannot take place with voluntary muscle activity such as exercise. This treatment targets the muscles, it does not melt significant amount of fat. Minimal fat (around 3%) is eliminated via Emsculpt.
Hi,There are two protocols are on the machine. Protocol one is specific for the abdomen to lose fat and tone muscle whereas protocol 2 is specifically for the buttock to tone and not to lose fat. There is going to be a release of additional protocols and applicators for arms and inner thighs this fall.Warmly,Dr. Liu
Thank you for your question. There is no need to worry about fat destruction for buttocks with Emsculpt treatment. Emsculpt has two protocol options: one targets fat and one does not, but both build muscle. The recommended protocol for Emsculpt treatment of buttocks does not stimulate fat loss, as many patients do not wish to lose volume in this area. Protocol 2 (no fat loss) should let you achieve your desired results. Consult your expert before beginning treatment.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately EmSculpt does not work on visceral fat. It works primarily by stimulating the motor neurons to this cause severe contractions of the target muscles. The target muscles then released free fatty acids to such a high concentration that it becomes toxic to...

Hi Rocketgirl,If the pins in your femur are truly metal then you should not have Emsculpt. If they are titanium then and your orthopedic surgeon has said that it is okay for you to have MRI's then you should be able to have Emsculpt. Be sure to discuss with your physician at your c...
