I had a broken femur bone and the surgeon put a rod and pins along side of my femur bone. The rod was removed in 1972 but the pins remain. Is it safe for me to have EMSCULPT on my butt and stomach?I have heard that it is safe to have EMSCULPT if you have metal in your body as long as the machine is not placed over the area where the metal is. Should I have an x-ray first to see exactly where the metal pins are? I'm hoping to find a Doctor in New York, NY that performs EMSCULPT. Thank you for your answers.

EMSculpt should not be performed if there is metal present to avoid possible injury to the tissue around the metal. For your safety, I do not recommend EmSculpt while you have the copper IUD. Plastic IUD’s should be a non-issue.
