Thank you for your question. Unfortunately EmSculpt does not work on visceral fat. It works primarily by stimulating the motor neurons to this cause severe contractions of the target muscles. The target muscles then released free fatty acids to such a high concentration that it becomes toxic to the overlying fat cells in the abdominal wall. This causes a toxic environment for some of the fat cells which causes them to die a natural death. The visceral fat, is in a different compartment, and does not get affected by the EmSculpt procedure. The best way to address visceral fat is still dieting and through exercise. Building muscle through EmSculpt, however, may increase your muscle mass which can improve your base metabolic rate (the number of calories you burn without any activity) and may indirectly affect the visceral fat, but I would not use EmSculpt as a primary treatment for visceral fat.
Hi Joan,Unfortunately Emsculpt does not reduce visceral fat. Diet and exercise are the best way to reduce the fat that lies beneath your abdominal muscles. Good luck and be well.Dr. PEncino, CA
Unfortunately, EMSculpt is not designed to treat visceral fat. Rather, EMSculpt is revolutionary in the way it builds fat.The best treatment at this time for visceral fat is through diet and exercise. Some board certified plastic surgeons have joined forced with other physicians to focus on a patient's wellness journey. Be sure to speak with the board certified plastic surgeons you are going on consults with, as this type of team can help you decrease visceral fat.
Thanks for your question. No, I'm sorry, but EMSculpt will not likely affect tissues that are deeper than the rectus muscles of the abdomen. It has been shown to shrink the subcutaneous fat layer (between the skin and the muscle layers), but nothing deeper. It's a great device, but it has it's limitations. I hope that helps.
EMSculpt is a modern and innovative form of muscle strengthening and toning. With the use of high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy, EMSculpting targets your muscles to contract with supramaximal contractions, which cannot take place with voluntary muscle activity such as exercise.
Hi Rocketgirl,If the pins in your femur are truly metal then you should not have Emsculpt. If they are titanium then and your orthopedic surgeon has said that it is okay for you to have MRI's then you should be able to have Emsculpt. Be sure to discuss with your physician at your c...
EMSculpt has not been proven to have any effect on scar tissue. The EMSculpt has been shown to effect muscle growth and fat destruction. It will work best on individuals who do not have excessive subcutaneous fat overlying the muscle to achieve the super maximal muscle contractions that are...
