Are there any doctors doing Emsculpt on thighs?

Hi Jojo,Yes there are some doctors who are treating the thighs with Emsculpt. Emsculpt of the thighs is an "off-label" use, yet providers have found it to be safe as long as there are no metal implants in the area.  We have also found that many of our patients state that during their buttock Emsculpt treatments they feel some quadraceps contraction and strengthening.  Good luck and be well.Dr. PerskyEncino, CA

Thank you for your question. I do use EmSculpt for the thighs as well as other body parts such as the arms. It’s a great way to strengthen muscle groups. The only place that I am unable to use EmSculpt is over the chest or upper back, as I do not want to stimulate the heart. When I use EmSculpt post  injury such as fracture or joint injury, I need to ensure that the bone or joint is well healed so we are not causing and additional injury.

Emsculpt is FDA approved only for the abdomen and buttocks. This means that both safety and efficacy have not been taken into consideration for any other areas. I recommend being cautious when treating off label areas. Good luck.

Yes, you can use EMSculpt for thighs. The treatment is the same as the buttocks. EMSculpt is actually FDA approved for the treatment of thighs but the company has not added the protocol to the machine yet. I do know of centers that are treating thighs, so it can be done and it should give you the result you are looking for.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Quintessa

EMSculpt has been FDA approved for the abdomen and buttocks. Using it on the thighs is an off-label treatment and safety/efficacy have not been evaluated. If you have metal implants in your knees then the treatment would be contraindicated. Hope this helps.

Emsculpt has currently been approved for use on the abdomen and buttocks.  Treatments on any other area would be considered off label use at this point.
There are applicators in the works for use on the thighs, calves and arms.  Hopefully, these will be available soon!!

However, here at Juva Skin and Laser Center we are currently researching the effects of Emsculpt on other parts of the body. Make sure you are up-to-date with this procedure and always seek treatment from a board-certified dermatologist.

Emsculpt is FDA approved for building muscle and burning fat in the abdomen and buttocks.   I know some providers have used Emsculpt in the thigh area ‘off-label’ with great results.  BTL is currently working on obtaining FDA indication for treatment of thighs, but as of now it may be difficult to find a practice who will perform Emsculpt in this area.   Please consult with your board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for an in-person assessment.  Best of luck.

Thank you for your question. At this time EmSculpt is not FDA approved for the thighs so it may be difficult to find a practice that will perform it on the thighs. We have tried it on our staff here and have found some great results and improved strength when applied to the top of the thigh. I imagine that it will be FDA approved for the thighs in the near future, and once it is you will be sure to see positive results and increased strength. I hope this helps.
