The fat that was just frozen undergoes apoptosis, or a programmed series of steps that leads to the fat dying off. It then gets broken down into much smaller biological fragments. These fragments are then taken away by your body's circulatory system and disposed of by the immune system. Once that fat had died, it will not be able to rejuvenate again - it is gone forever.
The Coolsculpting procedure suctions in the skin surrounding the area of fat you want to freezes, then uses controlled cooling (aka cryolipolysis) to drop the temperature of the skin down to where the fat cells die. The body then eliminates the cells in the following weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
When a CoolSculpting procedure is performed, the treatment normally will cause about 20-25% of the fat cells in the treated area to be destroyed. These damaged fat cells are then disposed of by cells in the body called macrophages, which are scavenger cells that engulf old or damaged cells.
Thank you for your question. When you diet and exercise the size of fat cells decreases. The number of fat cells does not go down by diet and exercise but can be reduced by body contouring procedures. All The Best !
Once the treated fat cells are crystalized (frozen), the body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they're gone for good.
Following the Coolsculpting treatment, about 25% of the fat cells in the areas treated begin to go through a programmed cell death. At that point, our body begins to break down those dead fat cells, which are then reabsorbed into the blood stream and broken down further by our lymphatic system. This process may take up to 3-4 months to complete.
Coolsculpting freezes the fat quickly, but the process of eliminating the fat takes a few months: typically three to four months. The process of cryolipolysis (fat freezing) sets off a natural process called “apoptosis” which causes the fat cells and the fat to be broken down and eaten by cells of the immune system. The fat is then excreted in the breath, sweat, urine and faeces over the next few months. Because your body does not make new fat cells, the fat is gone for good. Coolsculpting is the definitive fat freezing and non-invasive body-contouring technique available, as well as the safest and most reliable with the largest body of scientific evidence demonstrating real results.
After a CoolSculpting treatment, chilled fat cells undergo apoptosis, or cell death. This triggers the body’s lymphatic system to naturally collect and process the destroyed fat cells out of the body as waste.
Once the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), they die and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good. We have performed over 1000 procedures over the last 6 years with excellent results!
Thank you for your inquiry! After treatment with CoolSculpting, the fat cells died by apoptosis, this means that the cell's nucleus fragments, and the cell's organelles are engulfed with a membrane. The vesicles that are formed in this way are called apoptotic bodies. The apoptotic bodies are then cleaned up by the immune system. They are "bite-sized chunks" for phagocytes to eat. The phagocytes engulf the apoptotic bodies and recycle the contents as nutrients.
