It looks like you would benefit from either tumescent liposuction, laser lipo, or CoolSculpting. Any of those fat-elimination techniques can remove the bulge around your abdomen. Liposuction procedures are faster, but require some recovery time. There’s no downtime with CoolSculpting, but you’ll need at least three treatments. Consulting with a board-certified dermatologist will help you decide which body-contouring technique works best with your lifestyle.
For best results shaping the waist, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello,Thank you for your question and picture. CoolSculpting is ideal for patients who are living a healthy lifestyle and within 10-15 lbs of their ideal weight and have "pinch-able" pockets of fat. Based on what can be seen it appears you may be a candidate for this treatment. However, you will need to consult with a local physician in person to determine the best course of action. You will probably need more than one session to achieve your goals. Good luck!
Hi there, thank you for your question and photo. While it appears that you could be a great candidate for CoolSculpting, the best way to find out for sure would be to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced CoolSculpting provider. Typically, the best candidates are already close to their ideal weight, but with small pockets of “pinchable” fat that isn’t responding to diet and exercise. Based on your photo, CoolSculpting should be able to help you achieve your body contouring goals.
Great question! From what I can see from your photo, I believe that LaserLipo may be your best option, since a single treatment will remove your fat permanently as well as tighten up some skin laxity that appears to be present. CoolSculpting is a great treatment but will need multiple applications of the device with at least 2 sessions and will not address any skin laxity, so it is possible that you could have some loose skin afterwards. Traditional liposuction will remove the fat but will not help any skin laxity, so I think for you, either the LaserLipo or CoolSculpting are probably better options. I would suggest consultation with a physician experienced in both LaserLipo as well as CoolSculpting who can assess your problem areas as well as your skin to help you decide what treatment will give you the best final results. Best wishes, Mary Beth Mudd
Coolsculpting is a great option for you. One of the biggest draws is the lack of downtime and nice gradual reduction of fat. While liposuction is the gold standard, many patients do not want the downtime after surgery. We offer both. A consult with a reputable surgical practice for Coolsculpting is necessary, as the success of the procedure will be in part how the treatment plan is devised. Good luck!
Hi and thank you for your question! I think comparing your options would be ideal. I recommend having a consultation for both coolsculpting and liposuction. Coolsculpting will require multiple cycles and multiple treatments and gradual results, with no downtime, you can go back to normal activities and workout that day. Surgery may offer quicker more dramatic results, but will have some downtime. I suggest a consult with both a plastic surgeon and provider that does coolsculpting to compare the details and get a full assessment for both. Best, Jennifer Tinelli, NP-C
Based on the image provided, it seems like you'd be a great CoolSculpting candidate. The CoolSculpting technologyworks by using the power of cold temperatures to freeze the fat below yourskin. No surgical risks and no downtime associated with thisquick, in-office procedure. In my practice, we also offer other fat reductionalternatives, such as tumescent lipo. This is performed in ouroffice under local anesthesia, and will instantly & permanentlyremove the fat cells. This is the safest method of liposuction with veryminimal downtime. It is important to consult with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with experience in fat reduction. Thank you and I hope this helps.
It’s difficult to tell from your photo, but you may be a good candidate in the lower and upper abdomen. Most patients opt to get re-treatments in the same area for maximum results of up to 40-50% fat cell reduction. I would suggest seeking a certified CoolSculpting center near you and getting an in-depth consultation so you can see what your options are, as they do have different sized applicators. Best of luck!
Some men and women who have sleep apnea find it improves after having fatty bulges in their neck removed with CoolSculpting’s CoolMini, Kybella, or liposuction. However, insurance does not cover these procedures because there have been no definitive studies using fat-elimination as a sleep a...
Hello,Thank you for your question. CoolSculpting is most effective for individuals who are within 15-20 lbs of their ideal weight. With that being said, many do decide to reward themselves with a treatment once they reach a certain goal. CoolSculpting can definitely be a motivating treatment...
Coolsculpting does not cause loose skin. If you loose fat due to Coolsculpting then there will be less weight pulling on your skin so it can appear that the skin got tighter. If you already have poor skin integrity (stretch marks or looseness due to sun damage) Coolsculpting will not...
