I'm sorry you're experiencing this. The good news is Botox results are not permanent and will resolve in 3-4 months. After that, this should resolve. Hope this helps.

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your Botox treatment. I am surprised your certified injector placed Botox in your under eye as it should only be used around the crows feet. I would try to wait out the Botox effects (3-4 months, although you will probably see improvement in 2 months) and use a good eye cream and concealer in the meantime. Good luck and take care!

Although it seems that everyone does Botox, not everyone does Botox well.  In particular, lower eyelid and lower crowfeet Botox can slump the cheek and lower eyelids. Do not double down by getting filler to "correct" this.  You may benefit from filler but my advice is to wait until the lower eyelid is better.  At 7 weeks, you have about another 7 weeks before the treatment turns the corner, possibly a bit longer.  You have held this long, and I recommend waiting longer.  In the mean time, do your homework and find a better injector.

Botox results last up to 3-4 months and can be softened with venus legacy and thermage treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Sometimes the muscle weakening action of Botox can have negative consequences such as swelling and bags under the eyes. Please know that these are temporary effects which will resolve as the Botox disappears over the next few months. I'm sorry to hear of the issues you've had since your Botox treatment.  The effects of Botox are temporary.  The product results will gradually wear off over 3 to 4 months.

I am sorry for your problem since Botox should only be injected around the Crow's feet and not under the eyes.  It will take 3 to 4 months for this to resolve and in the meanwhile you can sleep with your head elevated and try to use antihistamines to see if you can decrease the swelling.  Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green

Botox,  when injected into the mid lower eyelid to reduce fine lines, can interfere with the muscular pump that removes (squeezes) out lymph fluid.  For older patients, those with lax lower eyelids or anyone prone to eyelid edema (genetic, allergies, chronic sinus, etc), Botox in this area should be avoided.  In general,  those over 40,  typically who have more lower eyelid laxity;  a mid pupillary lower eyelid injection should be avoided and alternative treatments such as laser resurfacing considered to improve fine lines.
As the other physicians have urged you, wait!!!  The unwanted Botox effect will wear off and you will return to your pre-treatment appearance (be sure to use a picture to compare as we may forget our former appearance).  Wait a full 6 months to ensure all the Botox effect has resolved.

The good news is that Botox results will wear off so this unwanted effect will eventually resolve. placement of botox around the eyes can be very tricky and sometimes can over relax the eyelid muscle that supports the under-eye area. When this happens, the bags can look worse temporarily. In the meanwhile, there are a couple eye creams that can help act a little like "spanx" for the eyes.
