I would like to try cellfina treatment it's possible for me? I have a flat skin after Weight loss. What do you think i have a lot of cellulite.

Doctors tend to endorse the devices they own. That hopefully is due to seeing good results with the device, but of course we are biased in favor of the devices for we bought. With that disclaimer, I own a Cellfina device and have had excellent results with it. This is a procedure performed under local anesthesia with little down time except bruising. It cuts the subcutaneous bands and that pull the dimples and creases inward. Remember however that cellulite is also largely due to skin laxity (looseness) and poor elasticity. Neither Cellulaze or Cellfina have significant skin tightening effect. Adjunctive procedures like Venus Legacy (which can have some skin tightening effect), liposuction (if there is also excess fat), or Sculptra (to try to add volume) may be useful. Weight loss patients or anyone with diffusely poor skin elasticity may not derive much benefit from either procedure, so have a thorough discussion with your board certified plastic surgeon. Thanks for your question. Hello and thank-you for your question!Cellulaze has a Realself  worth it rating of 66%. Cellfina has a Realself rating of over 90%!  Cellfina is the latest break through for the treatment of cellulite. We are seeing an extremely high level of satisfaction for our patients treated with Cellfina. The investigational studies for Cellfina have just been released and have shown an impressive patient satisfaction rate of 85% at 3 months, 94% at one year and 96% at 2 years. Cellfina targets the fibrous bands which are the source of the dimpling in cellulite. It is most effective for the treatment of dimples and depressions of the buttocks and outer thighs. Our patients have seen exceptional results! Cellfina is a minimally invasive treatment performed in the office. No sedation or general anesthesia is required.The procedure is  a minimally invasive with essentially no or very little downtime. Our patients note some soreness for a couple of days but are able to returned to work the next day after the procedure. There is generally some swelling and bruising. The bruising may take up to 3 weeks to resolve if there are a large number of dimples released. Cellfina is an FDA approved minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of cellulite for at least two years on the buttocks and back of the thighs of women.
  
It works by releasing the internal bands that cause the cellulite dimpling and so we have not seen any fat atrophy.     I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra or renuva for optimal results.  You should not see much of a difference with weight gain or loss but this also has not been studied.
  
Other areas of the body with dimpling, it is important to make sure it is truly cellulite before treatment.
  
It is common to have swelling bruising and firmness after the procedure. This can last for a few weeks.
  
It is different than Cellulaze which is a laser. 
  
If you have had previous poor results with cellulaze, you can still do Cellfina.
  
Cellfina has shown 100% noticeable improvement and 96% satisfaction in all patients at 2 years. 
  
Cellfina is designed to be a one time procedure. 
  
It can be used on women with all skin types but caution should be taken if theres a history of keloiding.
  
It can also be combined with other treatments such as Thermi or
  
Ulthera if skin tightening is needed.
  
We have done Sculpsure and Coolsculpting if fat reduction is wanted, but its best to wait 3 months to see the results before proceeding.
  
It can also be done at the same time as other procedures such as liposuction and BBL or as a stand alone procedure in the office.

Cellfina is the only FDA cleared, minimally invasive
procedure that has been clinically proven to improve the appearance of
cellulite.  The longevity of cellfina benefits are proven to last at least
2 years although the treatment appears to be
permanent  Cellfina is safe, as it is performed with local
anesthesia, quick and able to be performed in outpatient office setting. 
Patients experience minimal downtime and are able to carry on with daily
activities immediately.  We have seen dramatic improvement of cellulite
with one Cellfina treatment for patients.  For our patients that present
with cellulite as well as linear banding (demonstrated in your photo) and longer wavy skin, we will often combine fat grafting and Cellfina treatment
at one procedure time to create the best result.  This can be discussed at

Our office was one of the first to offer this treatment in New England.Cellfina is the latest treatment FDA approved to improve the appearance of cellulite. Cellfina allows the clinician to isolate each troublesome dimple caused by cellulite. Cellulaze is an invasive procedure that requires an incision prior to the insertion of a larger laser. This increases the risk for infection and other complications, like adhesions and prolonged healing time. The procedure duration including local anesthesia is much longer, requiring patients to take pain medications prior to the start. This means no driving yourself to and from the appointment.Cellfina patients can drive themselves to our office for the procedure which takes about an hour to complete (depending on the severity of the treatment area). Cellfina is mechanical disruption of celluite while cellulaze is a laser. The best treatment for cellulite is Cellfina. However, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement.  I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments like Exilis Ultra/Venus Legacy, Cellutone/z wave. A VASER HI DEF procedure can be done for more contouring. Cost will vary, but see an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
