Are the rolls on my butt from Cellfina - and what do I do now to fix it? (photos)

Question

I had cellfina in May 2016. The doctor marked around 70 spots on each leg - quite a few. It was rather painful and healing was not easy. I returned in October 2016 for pictures and my cellulite/issues just seem worse all around. I now have rolls that go down both sides of my butt - and I am not even sure what that is? Fat? I work out regularly for a single 41-year-old woman - weights and cardio - and am perfectly healthy otherwise, no kids, etc... I am so disappointed. What do I do next?

Without performing an examination in person, one can not make recommendations for your case specifically. However, when there is a multitude of grooves rather than individual dimples, I typically have either used ThermiTight which is a minimally invasive procedure or a series of non-invasive Thermi250 (ThermiSmooth) radiofrequency treatments done every two weeks for several treatments. No treatment can make these skin irregularities go away completely but we’re starting to see that there may be as good results with noninvasive Thermi250 as there is with more aggressive procedures but with this device that got FDA clearance for temporary cellulite reduction in late 2015.

A combination approach would give the most improvement. Cellfina is the best treatment for cellulite, but it works best in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments like Exilis Ultra/Venus Legacy, Cellutone/z wave. The lighting is also different in the after photos.  At this point you need fat transfer or sculptra for improvement long term with body treatments.  See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Although the lighting is different in the pictures, I can see the problem in the after photos. I would consider using Sculptra in the areas of concern now. It will take a few treatments but should give several years of improvement. The procedure must not have been performed correctly to cause worsening.
