Cellfina works for cellulite that is dimpled when it works best. While it can help with areas that have lines or depressions that are larger, the best ones are the dimples that are in certain areas (not near the buttock roll).  If you are considering this, you should go to a surgeon that uses it to be seen as sometimes it is helpful to see the area clenched and unclenched and feel the areas.  Best wishes!

Thank you for your question. I do not use Cellfina in areas of skin laxity as it further reduces the supporting structure for the skin. Nearly all skin tightening devices will have some degree of size reduction. For optimal skin tightening I use the BodyTite by InMode. The radio-frequency (RF) is injected beneath the skin through a small probe. The RF energy travels between the probe beneath the skin and a second probe on the surface of the skin. This focuses the energy where it is most useful for skin tightening and can achieve tightening up to 30%. There will however, be some fat destruction in conjunction with this but this can be minimized by keeping the interior probe as close to the surface as possible. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore

Cellfina is a one time treatment used to release the fibrous bands that pull down on the skin in the buttocks and sides of the thighs.  Cellfina simply releases these fibrous bands but is not a skin tightener.  When cellulite appears from textural irregularity, skin tightening is typically needed for optimal result.  I recommend an evaluation from your provider to ensure treatment is targeting the appropriate type of cellulite for optimal outcome.

I don't use Cellfina in areas of loose skin as this can make the appearance worse.  It is best for dimpled cellulite on the buttock and posterior thigh.

My preference for this type of cellulite is Sculptra. I don't think that you will be happy with Cellfina in the medial lower leg area. It looks mostly like volume replacement will be your best alternative. I haven't found any skin tightening device to be expremely helpful in the leg area. Cellfina is great on the buttocks and posterior thigh for dimples. Linear or "cottage cheese" cellulite needs other measures such as Sculptra.
