I have dimpled cellulite and loss of skin elasticity on my butt and thighs. I am going to get Cellfina, but I am wondering if I should get a skin tightening procedure before I get Cellfina, or if I should get Cellfina first. Also, I am not sure which skin tightening procedure would be the best fit for me. I want something that will tighten my skin and make it look firm again, but I don't want to lose any fat in those areas. I like the size of my butt.
Answer: Improving Cellulite with Cellfina -- add Sculptra, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, Cellutone, ZWave, VASER HI-DEF Thank you for your question, The best treatment for cellulite is Cellfina. However, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement. I recommend Cellfina in combination with Sculptra injections and body treatments like Exilis Ultra, Venus Legacy, and Cellutone / ZWave. For patients who are also looking for fat reduction, contouring, skin tightening and definition, we often suggest a VASER HI DEF liposuction procedure to get the most toned result. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Should you get Cellfina first? Your cellulite problem is a common one. Fortunately, finally there are effective ways to minimize this problem. Perhaps the least invasive one is Cellfina™. Cellfina is the only FDA-cleared minimally invasive, one-time procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite for at least two years—the longest FDA-cleared duration for a cellulite treatment. A straightforward solution to cellulite, Cellfina™, combines a proven approach with innovative, proprietary technology, to produce precise, long-lasting results and has a high satisfaction rating on RealSelf. Together with Velashape 3, a non invasive procedure to help "shrink wrap the skin" and further minimize cellulite as a combination treatment is perhaps your best chance for taking care of this tough problem. Cellulaze is also a possible treatment but much more invasive

Answer: Cellfina would be good for the area with the dimple but not the other areas that I can see here Cellfina works for cellulite that is dimpled when it works best. While it can help with areas that have lines or depressions that are larger, the best ones are the dimples that are in certain areas (not near the buttock roll). If you are considering this, you should go to a surgeon that uses it to be seen as sometimes it is helpful to see the area clenched and unclenched and feel the areas. Best wishes!

Answer: Cellulite with Loose Skin Thank you for your question. I do not use Cellfina in areas of skin laxity as it further reduces the supporting structure for the skin. Nearly all skin tightening devices will have some degree of size reduction. For optimal skin tightening I use the BodyTite by InMode. The radio-frequency (RF) is injected beneath the skin through a small probe. The RF energy travels between the probe beneath the skin and a second probe on the surface of the skin. This focuses the energy where it is most useful for skin tightening and can achieve tightening up to 30%. There will however, be some fat destruction in conjunction with this but this can be minimized by keeping the interior probe as close to the surface as possible. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore

Answer: Cellfina vs skin tightening Cellfina is a one time treatment used to release the fibrous bands that pull down on the skin in the buttocks and sides of the thighs. Cellfina simply releases these fibrous bands but is not a skin tightener. When cellulite appears from textural irregularity, skin tightening is typically needed for optimal result. I recommend an evaluation from your provider to ensure treatment is targeting the appropriate type of cellulite for optimal outcome.
