I am 17 days post op and have a ton of swelling yet. I think I may be a special case due to hx. I only have c-sections in my med hx. I was given lasix 7 days after birth of my twins and lost 35lbs in 10days from all the iv fluids they gave. I wasn't given lasix with my daughter and came home weighing 10lbs more than when I Delivered. Week 6 I only lost 5lbs. I lost 35lbs from month 3-4 without effort it was water but took that long. Should I try lasix before the water causes new stretch marks?

Drainage along your incision line needs to be evaluated by your surgeon. It is not uncommon to have some minor wound healing issues along your incision. The central part of the incision is the location where the wound tension is the greatest in the blood supply source is the most distant....
Everyone recovers differently after a tummy tuckI like my patients to be up and walking every 2-3 hours during the day to minimize risk of blood clots. Most patients are on pain pills for about a week or two.
Hi. It is certainly normal to have swelling after surgery, including the areas that you mentioned. It is always a good idea to touch base with your operating surgeon so that he or she is aware and can help guide you through that. Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell
