Thank you for your question. It is very common to have swelling settle in to the areas below where you had surgery, this is due to gravity and the garments. The more you are up during the day and active, the more swelling you will get in the hips, legs, etc. Continue to stay active and wear your garments, it can take 3-4 months before all the swelling goes down completely. The first month is the worst as far as swelling goes and it will continue to get better as time goes on. Good luck with recovery.
Hi. It is certainly normal to have swelling after surgery, including the areas that you mentioned. It is always a good idea to touch base with your operating surgeon so that he or she is aware and can help guide you through that. Good luck and take care, Dr. Howell
Thank you for your question. Because of the extended nature of the incision, typically reaching to a patient's backside, swelling can develop in the thighs, butt, and hips after surgery. The swelling present in your tissues will be drawn downward due to gravity and this is the reason it is advisable to wear compression garments. Talk to your surgeon during your next visit to voice your concerns, they can provide you with additional reassurance.

Unfortunately, swelling follows the path of gravity, which is always down. It is not uncommon to have the areas below your incision be swollen. Your body will eventually work all of this out on its own. It could take a couple months though.
Yes, it is possible to have 2 surgeries done at the same time but this would increase the chances of having complications. As a rule of thumb, your safety is always a priority that is why it is better to have this 2 procedures done separately.
Thank you for the question.I would check with your surgeon. Taking Motrin 10 days post op should not be a problem. All the best,
