Hello Doctor(s), I had a mole on my chin surgically removed when I was a teenager. It left a scar, which hair will not grow from. Is it possible to undergo a procedure which will allow hair to grow from this area, thus covering up the scar? What type of specialist should I see and what procedure would be best? I was thinking FUE hair transplant or scar revision surgery. Thank you in advance.

It is possible to disguise a facial scar with beard transplant surgery where the donor hair is taken from the back of your head.

Yes, FUE hair transplant is a good option to conceal it. But combination of scar revision and hair transplant will make the visibility the least. So you can opt for a scar revision and by 4 to 5 weeks’ time you can undergo hair transplant procedure subsequently.

Yes, it can be done and can have a very nice result if done properly. You can even lessen the scar tissue before hand and then use transplant hairs to cover up the area.
