Is there a max size implant you can get with a lift?

My doctor told me if I am getting a lift then I can’t get a very big implant. He wants to use a low profile. I’m afraid I’m going to pay all of this money and be very unhappy.

Generally I like to avoid very large implants with a breast lift. Implants that are too large make the operation risky and it is harder to get a good result.,if you do want large implants it may be best to have the lift done first and the large implants placed about three months later. By two staging the procedure you will avoid complications and ultimately get a better result

Thanks for your inquiry, what limits the size of implant is mostly based your breast width and tissue envelop laxity. without an exam, it is hard to advise further, also I suggest you ask your surgeon about the possible role of absorbable mesh.

Yes, there is a maximum size that your own tissue will support. Beyond that, you will just sag over time. An internal bra with mesh can be added for better support, but still won't support a heavy implant over time.  You need to be realistic about what you can actually achieve to have pretty breasts.

There is a limit to which implant is recommended for any patient but this varies greatly based on breast measurements, quality of skin, as well as other factors.  One option is to have the lift and then return after you have healed for the implants.  You can also elect to visit with one or two other board certified plastic surgeons to hear opinions.

Breast augmentation with implants combined with a mastopexy has risks for significant complications, including tissue necrosis of the nipple and areola leading to surgery failure with potential severe disfigurement. Being aggressive doing this, as a combined procedure increases the chance of complications. Some surgeons recommend doing these separate procedures to decrease the complication rate.
The limitation your surgeon is recommending is not because he’s trying to lower patient satisfaction.
You can always have multiple in person consultations with other providers if you want to hear what other plastic surgeons recommend.
Safety should of primary concern for both patient and provider.
