Hi Numbers, I prefer to not use any packing in the nose after performing rhinoplasty on my patients. Many rhinoplasty surgeons have been trained to empirically place packing inside the nose after rhinoplasty. Instead of using nasal packing, we use a quilting suture in the nasal septum. In very rare cases where packing is used, it is removed after 48 hours. Good luck and be well. Dr. P

If your nose is stable the day after rhinoplasty is not going to collapse. It will take a number of months for you to get psychologically adjusted to the new look. It probably end up with the wonderful result happy for what you did. Be patient.
It is normal to have dried blood in these areas and this should not affect your results. I suggest to continue keeping the outside areas clean. I do tell my patients they can use some hydrogen peroxide on a Q tip to help as well as keeping the incisions moist with ointment.
