The first several days after a tummy tuck and even longer, it can be uncomfortable and difficult to climb stairs. You may want to consider staying downstairs for several days after your surgery - and preparing accordingly. When you do start climbing the stairs, it would be very prudent to have someone help you until you start to feel both comfortable and safe doing it.Steven Turkeltaub, MD
Depends on how you handle pain. It probably is a bit much if there are a lot of stairs but if there are a few you should be ok. You may feel it though. I wold wait several days before you do too much stair climbing.
