How long do you recommend wearing foams and an ab board post lipo360? When can I just wear the garment (faja) alone (with no boards or foam)? I'm worried about creasing in my mid section, and I want to know when my body will not be as "moldable" so I can bend over or lean over without worrying I'll be creasing my stomach. I would like to wear the faja alone as soon a possible, but I would like optimal results so I will wear the foam and ab board as long as the recommended time.
Answer: Timing is everything After the operation, you can stop using the board and corset after a total of 2 months. This period is very important

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Keeetz, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Not Necessary In general, with proper compression devices (Such as the Faja or other compression garments) the foams and boards are not necessary. On occasion there are some people who will not get adequate compression over a certain area from a garment and then foam can be added, but this is very rare. Most people will be able to tolerate and do well with just a garment. These garments can be started immediately after surgery. In general, there is no movement that you can perform that will produce a permanent contour irregularity, so feel free to return to your activities of daily living (ADLs) as soon as you can after surgery.

Answer: Foams and Boards post Lipo360/BBL? When to start wearing them post op and when to stop? Hello @Keeetz, thank you for your question. I suggest you follow your specialist recommendations. This is because the use of compression garments and foams depends of multiple things among other the doctor's surgical technique and the type of equipment used to perform the surgery. Generally, I recommend 3 months to my patients. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Compression, garments and foam boards Each provider will have their own set of recommendations, and I suggest you follow your provider recommendations. Compression garments and foam boards have not shown it to change results from Liposuction or fat transfer procedures. Results are determined by two primary variables, which are the patient’s candidacy combined with the skill and experience of the provider. Those are the only variables that actually matter when it comes to quality results. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
