Why is my implant distorted when I use my muscles? (photos)

low as they should, the breast remains empty and when you contract the
pectoralis muscle the protheses move up and down, like a lift (elevator

conversion to partial submuscular (dual plane) or fully subfascial (the
most modern trends).

There are a few options in addition to position change. One would be to surgically score the muscle to minimize the distortion. Botox or dysport injections can also lessen the distortion, but the injections will have to be repeated periodically.

 Many patients complain of displacement of the implant with muscular activity when the implants are below the muscle. The best solution would be to move the implants to a sub glandular location. Switching to silicone gel is aesthetically a better choice.

your only option is to switch your implants to an above muscle position.  And if you're going to do this, seriously consider textured shaped implants to decrease your long term risks, such as contracture and rippling as you appear on the thin side.

Dear Hopeful,You are describing a hyperanimation deformity.  It is somewhat difficult to determine from the photos exactly what is happening, especially with the tape that is visible on a different side of your body in each picture.  Rippling brings in yet another difficult variable in addressing your current appearance.  You should revisit your surgeon and discuss the problem frankly.  He/she may be able to formulate a plan at a cheaper price than involving a new surgeon.  Be sure that your Plastic Surgeon is an American Board of Plastic Surgery board certified physician.  Good luck!
