Question

Hi, I'm 1mo post septorhino & I'm having an identity crisis. I hate the way my face looks. My doc & I agreed that my nose wasn't bad and wanted to keep "it" while removing the hump and shortening the tip a bit. Now my bridge is too wide and makes my eyes look far apart. Will it narrow back to my preop photos? And the tip define more? What results should I expect w/provided before and after photos? Thank you for your help!

In all six before photos you are smiling, and you are not smiling in any of your after photos - comparing similar photos in the same angle would be more helpful for evaluation.If you're concerned that your bridge appears too wide, that may narrow as your swelling resolves. When you visit your surgeon for your three-month postoperative visit, consider getting a copy of your before and after photos, and re-ask your query if you still have concerns. Wishing you well. Thanks so much for reaching out.  You are still very early in the post op period for a rhinoplasty.  The nose swells a lot and holds on to the swelling for up to a year.  I would expect for the swelling and width of your nose to improve quite a bit.

You are very early in the healing phase and swelling is the thing that will mask refinement of the the nose.  You will need to give it 6-12 months minimum.

It takes time to acclimate to the new nasal features. Additionally, you are still quite swollen.  Give things time to settle down. You may be very pleased with the end result.
