I've had my implants for one year and am looking to switch to a sub fascial or sub glandular plane or completely explant. I was not happy prior to my BA so I'm considering just changing the plane and size to feel more comfortable. It's difficult to do yoga and I am a rock climber. Is it possible to downsize 255 cc moderate profile implants and change the positioning of my implants? Thank you :)
Answer: Implants You can always go smaller in size, especially if you are very active. If you have little breast tissue, I would still stay behind the muscle to avoid seeing the edge and ripples.

Answer: BA revision Switching to subglandular should be fine. I would recommend having a Strattice mesh added to guard against capsular contracture. This should correct any animation deformity you may be experiencing now.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Feelinglost16, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Is it possible to switch from sub muscular to sub fascial and downsize 255 cc moderate profile implants? While it is possible, a full consultation would be necessary to evaluate your tissues and goals. Pocket exchanges can be helpful to reshape the breast and reset the implant to a new pocket. I recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
