Is it possible to get liposuction of love handles and lower back fat instead of BBL?

I was wondering what type of results I will receive if I only get everything above the butt liposuction. I'm hesitant about the bbl because I work at a desk and can only take a week off

You can still get a significant improvement of your backside by doing lipo to jus the lower back and love handles as this will even make your butt look somewhat larger just by reducing the area right next to the butt.  That is part of what enhances the results. It is quite difficult to say more about your individual results without photos, but it is really best to get an in person evaluation with a plastic surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Also, there are a lot of safety issues associated with BBL so please consider your surgeon carefully.

Without seeing pictures it is difficult to give you a specific answer. But I often am able to nicely shape the waist and thighs and not perform a Brazilian Butt Lift. Obviously you wouldn't get a fuller lifted buttock but you may not want that. Brazilian Butt Lift is not always necessary to achieve a nicer sillouiete. Make sure to consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  If you are an appropriate candidate, then yes, waistline contouring
liposuction of your abdomen, flanks, and lower back can be performed without a BBL.  This can greatly
improve your overall shape with a smaller waist.  .   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who

These days it seems impossible to imagine liposuction without the requisite fat transfer that has become ubiquitous on the front pages of the tabloids. But liposuction (without fat transfer) has been a mainstay of body contouring for many years.
Liposuction is one of the most common, as well one of the most commonly misunderstood cosmetic procedures performed by plastic surgeons. Liposuction, or suction assisted lipectomy (SAL) as it is also known, allows a surgeon to contour a patient’s shape and address those areas resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss procedure and is best performed on patients who are at or near their target weight. Common target areas include:
Abdomen/Flanks (“love handles”)Hips/Thighs/LegsUpper armsBackButtocksWith regards to your specific question, liposuction is still commonly performed independent of fat grafting. Additionally, liposuction of the lower back (along the lumbar curvature) has the added benefit of creating the illusion of a buttock augmentation by unmasking a previously concealed curve. There are two ways to address a contour: augment the hill or deepen the valley. Addressing one will consequently change the other (i.e. emptying the lower back and accentuating the superior curvature enhances the buttock).

Although an examination is always helpful, liposuction of the love handles usually produces a very nice result.  The love handles can be liposuctioned while blending the liposuction into the abdomen to prevent irregularity. Liposuction of the lower back can improve the shape and projection of the buttocks but will not enhance them as a BBL would.

You can have Lipo of the waist and back without a BBL. The fat suctioning not only will give you a nicer waist and back but will also enhance your buttocks. There is a new way of performing liposuction using the Vibrastat. I have found when performing liposuction patients have a faster recovery versus traditional techniques. I have had surgeons and doctors return to work as early as 3-4 days after surgery. A lot of my BBL patients, that have desk jobs, return to work in 7-10 days.
