My PS offers hyperbaric chamber treatment to promote healing after surgery. I'm still undecided if I want to use it or not, but if it truly will help "speed" my healing along it might be worth it.

Answer: Not Necessary There is no good reason to undergo hyperbaric treatments if you do not have wound healing problem. Hyperbaric treatments have risks as well. So if you are a good candidate for surgery with no healing issues I would not recommend it.Good luck!

Answer: HBO Thank you for your question. There is no data in the literature to support hyperbaric oxygen therapy after routine uncomplicated surgery. There are very specific indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy as hyperbaric oxygen therapy is not without risk. I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon further and really find out why he or she feels like ou may or may not need this.
