5 weeks post-op FaceTite with neck liposuction should I be concerned? (photos)

I had facetite with neck liposuction 5 weeks ago. I still have swelling and lumpiness under my chin and my jowls are still there. The PA at the office where I had the procedure says I have to wait 3-6 months to see final result. I am concerned that the jowls are not going to tighten. Am I being impatient? The facetite brochure states immediate results with little or no downtime which hasn't been in my case. Thank you for any input.

Hello. After years of performing this procedure I have noticed a great variance in the recovery post Facetite. Swelling can last up to 6 months. This is why I always pair the treatment with radio frequency assisted lymphatic drainage after the procedure which should always come with your package in my opinion. Adequate compression garment every night is also advised.

It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You may still have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after neck liposuction to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

FaceTite seems to take longer than the company states when it comes to results. I have had patients that did not seem to be progressing as anticipated with the treatment, only to have them start showing significant improvement after 8-12 weeks, so give it at least 12 weeks to see your final results.

You need to wait the full 6 months to see the final result. I would not do more treatment until then.
