5 units of Botox in the left masseter and my face is completely asymmetrical: When I will get my face back?

that you are unhappy with your Botox results. Unfortunately, facial asymmetry
is a potential complication from Botox. Your appearance will go back to normal,
however it will take from three to four months for the Botox to wear off. That
being said, five units of Botox is a small amount, especially for use along the
Masseter, which is very strong muscle. To ensure the safest and most
satisfactory results in the future, only use a reputable, board certified
plastic surgeon, experienced in Botox.

Botox results last 3-4 months in new areas of treatments. It can sometimes take a series to get desired results. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. It typically takes a minimum of 20 units of Botox on each side of the masseter muscle for facial slimming. I am not sure why only 5 units would have such a great difference. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to an evaluation and to determine the best treatment plan for you. Botox when injected may cause asymmetries regardless of injection sites.  Although botox usual effects completely resolve in 4-5 months you may be fortunate that you will have sooner improvement because of your small dose.

Sorry to hear about your experience. 5 units of Botox is a very low dose for the masseter muscles and so it does not make sense to me why you would see such as robust response from the treatment. I would get a second opinion from an experienced injector. Typical Botox dosing for the masseters is 15-30 units per side. The Botox results will wear off over the next 3-4 months. 

5 units of Botox would ordinarily barely affect the masseter if at all. get a second opinion from a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is skilled in the use of Botox

5 Units of Botox are unlikely to produce your clinical condition.  Masseter is a strong chewing muscle and can easily take 25 units or more.  You could consider seeing a Neurologist to make sure the 7th nerve branches are not affected.
