2 months post op lipo of flanks upper arms inner thigh and full back and full abdomen.I’m trying to find out we’re my weight would distribute if I was o get pregnant so soon after my procedure. R my results going to be ruined I’m honestly only concerned with my flanks and upper arms. With good exercise I have always been able to work off my stomach without lipo so I’m sure I’ll be fine after pregnancy with that and the extra skin!

Answer: Liposuction You are born with a certain number of fat cell. once they are removed, you cannot make new cells. Therefore the procedure is considered permanent. however if you put on weight, it has to go somewhere, and it is different for each patient. However if the appropriate amount of fat was removed originally, it should not significantly increase the size of that area(s) that were treated with liposuction

Answer: Flanks and pregnancy I tell my patients that with weight gain, the areas that were liposuctioned still have some fat cells and those fat cells can hypertrophy ( get larger) and you may gain weight in that area. Probably not as much as you might have if you did not have lipo. The goal is to try to keep your weight in a small range from where you were after surgery. Obviously, all bets are off with pregnancy.
