Dilution of Hylenex and Hyaluronidase is physician specific. I would speak to your surgeon about your condition immediately.Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
Every injector is different, but I most commonly do not dilute hylauronidase at all, and when I do, its with normal saline. Ringing of ears, even with lidocaine, would be highly unlikely. Most important is to have a highly trained and experienced physician (e.g. dermatologist) to optimize your results and safety.
Generally when I use hyaluronidase I don’t dilute it with lidocaineane primarily because I want to put a concentrated amount of hyaluronidase and massage it in, because I can actually see the improvement right away. I don’t want lidocaine or other diluents I may use to give it a little swelling. At this point when I inject hyaluronidase I do some topical numbing, some icing and inject the hyaluronidase and massage it down. Final results will be several days but you should be able to see some immediate improvement.
Failure of Hylenex to reverse filler may be due to a variety of factors. I would consider alternate approaches to reversing your HA filler. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianRealself100 Surgeon
