Thank you for your questioning and your excellent photos. Based on the amount of skin laxity you have your perfect candidate for an abdominoplasty however I think there is one other option before choosing to have a long and good scar with a tummy tuck. The only other thing that I would recommend is getting a procedure called J-plasma. It is a minimally invasive option that allows for the skin to tighten. It is done like liposuction but uses helium under the skin to help the tissue and septae( or connects from the muscle to skin to tighten. It is NOT a tummy tuck but it can get 30-80% of a tummy tuck like result without the scars. The results are based on your skin's make up. Hope this helps. All the best.
Thank you for your question. I recommend a combination of procedures for optimal results. ThermiTight utilizes a small electrode inserted under the skin to heat tissue to a selected therapeutic temperature. Literature has shown that elevating skin to a therapeutic temperature level can contract collagen molecules and stimulate collagen production, which may give the appearance of lifting or tightening. Fat reduction is rare, unless set to high temperatures and kept at high temperatures for a significant amount of time . To best answer your question, it depends on how much skin laxity you have. ThermiTight can work well in the thigh area to tighten skin that is mild to moderately laxity. Surgery may be a better option, if you have excessive laxity. Results with ThermiTight vary from patient to patient. You should experience some overall improvement. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Hello and thanks for your question. ThermiTight is a great treatment for those with mild to moderate loose abdominal skin. Looking at your pictures, I think a surgical tummy tuck would be a better option for you. Make sure you see an experienced physician for an in-person consultation and evaluation. Best wishes.
I recommend getting a formal evaluation. Non-surgical approaches give mild improvement compared to surgical lifting.Based on your pictures, you appear to be a candidate for a tummy tuck. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. ThermiRF® treats skin laxity by converting heat with radio-frequency energy to remodel the tissues. Thermi Tight is a minimally invasive process, performed under local anesthesia using controlled sub dermal tissue heating. It can be used on the tissues of the neck, arms, abdomen and legs. It has been shown to approve the appearance of cellulite. Thermi Tight is generally a single procedure. Keep in mind Thermi Tight is a minimally invasive procedure and although results can be great, it will not produce the same results as any surgical lift procedure could. Consult with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon to see if this procedure is right for you or if more traditional surgery is necessary. Good luck!
That depends on your goals and ability for downtime.ThermiTight will give you some tightening of the skin with minimal scarring or downtime. However it will not make the skin completely tight and flat like a tummy tuck will. But a tummy tuck means a large scar and several weeks of downtime. I recommend seeing a physician that performs both, so you can discuss pros and cons of each procedure. Good luck.
Thank you for your photos. ThermiTight is a non-surgical, minimally invasive skin tightening treatment that uses a tiny probe to deliver radio frequency energy just beneath the surface of the skin. It's primarily used to tighten sagging skin on the body. I recommend getting a in person evaluation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Hi there!Great question! You are a good candidate for ThermiTight. You don't appear to have a lot of fat, but rather loose skin. Skin tightening procedures are typically best for patients such as yourself. You do get a minimal amount of tightening with fat reducing procedures such as Coolsculpt. But I would stay away from anything that further reduces your fat and focus on skin tightening. I think you will get moderate results. Doing multiple modalities with combination therapy would be helpful. For example, consider ThermiTight and after you have seen maximum effect, consider going behind with Ultherapy or Vanquish. ThermiTight is "minimally" invasive. I use a small catheter which is introduced under the skin. It stimulates collagen through radio-frequency heat. Ultherapy is noninvasive and works by ultrasound energy to achieve skin tightening. As we age, we continue to loose collagen, so be prepared to repeat the procedure in a few years. A tummy tuck would give you better results with some downtime and is considered surgical. Noninvasive treatments are less effective but are obviously less invasive. Yours in Health,Dr. Arianna
I typically advise my patients to stop smoking 2-4 weeks before a ThermiTight procedure and to continue that for up to six months afterward. Smoking impacts the body’s ability to build collagen in the dermal structure, which will affect your ThermiTight results. Nicotine is also a v...
Thank you for your question - I am sure many others wonder the same thing, as there are so many options, all making similar claims. Unfortunately, there are few, if any, scientific studies directly comparing these technologies, so no one can tell you definitively if one is better than the ...
I would need to see photos of your skin before your treatment to give you an idea of why you did not see satisfactory results. I can tell you that although ThermiTight is not a surgical procedure, it does require a tremendous amount of precision and skill in determining the proper placement and...
