2 months post-op ThermiTight and still no visible results

This is difficult to answer without pictures. It may be that you weren't a candidate for Thermitight alone and would have been a better candidate for a tummy tuck, which can be combined with a high definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. It is difficult to make a recommendation without at least a few photos. I can tell you that ThermiTIght is an effective treatment when the amount of skin laxity is mild to moderate and there is no stubborn fat to eliminate. ThermiTight works by stimulating the body to produce more collagen, which occurs gradually. Although some patients may see improvement by this time, others may take a bit longer for the positive effects to become evident. 

Thank you for your question.  I recommend a combination of procedures for optimal results.  Thermismooth is noninvasive and is good for resurfacing fine lines, but ThermiTight can actually lift and tighten your neck and lower face.

ThermiTight utilizes a small electrode inserted under the skin to heat tissue to a selected therapeutic temperature.  Literature has shown that elevating skin to a therapeutic temperature level can contract collagen molecules and stimulate collagen production, which may give the appearance of lifting or tightening.   Fat reduction is rare, unless set to high temperatures and kept at high temperatures for a significant amount of time .

To best answer your question,  it  depends on how much skin laxity you have.   ThermiTight can work well in the thigh area to tighten skin that is mild to moderately laxity.  Surgery may be a better option, if you have excessive laxity.   Results with ThermiTight vary from patient to patient.  You should experience some overall improvement.  In our center, I offer a procedure that we call ThermiSculpture. This combines some liposuction fat removal with ThermiTight. The radiofrequency probe is inserted into the same incisions that are used for the liposculpture. This combination removes fat, stimulates collagen, and tightens and lifts the skin. Consulting a board-certified plastic surgeon who knows how to effectively combine ThermiTight with liposuction will give you the most dramatic and long-lasting results

It's true that some patients begin to see the effects of skin tightening with TermiTight just a couple of months after treatment. But this varies by patient and by the quality of the skin that was being treated. Abdominal skin may take longer to tighten than the neck or face simply because it covers a larger area. Take some photos now, wait a few months, and then take a few more photos in the same kind of light for comparison. If you don't see the results of your procedure at that time, feel free to contact your board-certified dermatologist for a follow-up consultation.

Good Morning and thank you for your questions.  Waiting to see results is the most frustrating part of any practice.  Usually, thermitight starts to show itself around 3 months or so, with a better result visible at 6-9 months, the body taking longer than the face.  Remember to follow with your surgeon as they will track your progress and might even do a photo comparison for you down the road.  Remember, you look at yourself everyday so it might not be as obvious at first!

Thanks for your question.  In my experience with Thermitight, we are seeing results 6-9 months out of procedure.  The stomach does take longer as it is a large surface area.  I do recommend to my patients to wear a spanx for 6-8 weeks or longer to help with improvement.  Follow up with your physician if you have any questions please.
