Thank you for your question. It is not typical to have more than one ThermiTight treatment. This procedure uses tiny probes to deliver the radiofrequency energy deep into the dermal tissue where it can produce a dramatic tightening effect. While I would need to see you in person to know for sure, it does appear that ThermiTight would give you some good results. Make sure you are working with an experienced, board-certified dermatologist who will be performing ThermiTight and not a more superficial skin tightening procedure.
Thank you for your question. I recommend a combination of procedures for optimal results. ThermiTight utilizes a small electrode inserted under the skin to heat tissue to a selected therapeutic temperature. Literature has shown that elevating skin to a therapeutic temperature level can contract collagen molecules and stimulate collagen production, which may give the appearance of lifting or tightening. Fat reduction is rare, unless set to high temperatures and kept at high temperatures for a significant amount of time . To best answer your question, it depends on how much skin laxity you have. ThermiTight can work well in the thigh area to tighten skin that is mild to moderately lax. . Surgery may be a better option, if you have excessive laxity. Results with ThermiTight vary from patient to patient. You should experience some overall improvement. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery. Best of luck! I would clarify with your provider whether you are getting ThermiTight or ThermiSmooth250. ThermiSmooth250 is the non-invasive version of ThermiTight which delivers radiofrequency energy from above the skin. Usually multiple treatment sessions are needed. ThermiTight uses a small probe to go underneath the skin to heat the tissues and promote collagen production. Based on your picture, I don't think you'll see much of a difference after three ThermiSmooth250 treatments. ThermiTight would be the best option for you if you are opposed to surgery. Best wishes.
Unfortunately, you have a lot of skin laxity which means you would be a better candidate for a tummy tuck which can be performed at the same time as a high definition procedure. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Smoking is one of the worst causes of premature aging of the skin and it causes problems with the blood circulation which can have a negative effect on healing. Since you had a minimal invasive procedure the risk is less than with a more involved procedure like a tummy tuck. However I always...
I advice my patients to avoid drinking alcohol for 5 days before and after the procedure. Alcohol affects blood clotting and can increase bruising and swelling. 1 or 2 drinks is not going to cause any major problems, but to avoid any issues it would be best to wait a few days.
