i fell on my face when i was around 8 y/o and my upper teeth went through my lower lip, my right front tooth chipped (which i fixed) but the left side of my lower lip is scarred in a way that is terrible. it makes my lip look very asymmetrical and if i so happen to bite my lower lip (which is a habit of mine) it gets swollen and more pronounced. it makes it very hard to actually talk to people comfortable because it's very noticeable. Not as much in photos, but a lot in real life.

This can be treated with plastic surgery excision of lip scar tissue and would make the lip more even. It's a local anesthesia procedure requiring about an hour of time.

This can likely be resolved with a minor procedure in the office under local (injection) anesthesia, it is probably scar tissue under the lip and above the muscle. Be sure to see a specialist for this procedure and best of luck!

I would judiciously remove some of this scar tissue with a warning to you that you may get a slight indentation that would require filler in the future to keep it smooth. I don't think laser resurfacing would do much and I certainly wouldn't inject a steroid after this much time
