Can i get my lip piercing closed by a plastic surgeon? (Photos)

Question

I have 2 lip piercing holes. One on bottom and one on top on my left side lip. The top piercing i had taken out about 6 months ago. And the bottom 3 months ago. How long does it take to close. And if they dont close which specialist can i go to that can close it.

Hello,
The scars left behind by a lip piercing can be revised with scar revision surgery.  For a problem like yours the procedure would be performed under local anesthesia and would not take more than thirty minutes.

Thank you for your photo. It is unlikely that those holes will will close on their own completely. The old scars can be removed with an excision in the office with local anesthetic. It is best to have an in-office examinatoin to evaluate the condition of the exisiting scars and to demonstrate what to expect during and after your scar revision. Hope this helps!!Johnson C.
