I'm 55 years old.
Yes, the side profile photographs demonstrate a recessive chin profile, therefore a chin implant would be helpful to augment your mandible forward which gives better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. A lower face and neck lift is going to be required at age 55. This accomplishes tightening loose facial and neck skin, tightening loose facial and neck muscles, lifting the jowls, and removing the fatty deposits above and below the platysma muscle in your neck along with a platysma plasty. Study your prospective surgeon's before and after facelift/ chin implant photo gallery and make sure that it is extensive with natural results.
My recommendation is that you have multiple in person consultations with experienced board-certified plastic surgeons whose practices have focused on facial aesthetic surgery in your area. Most likely the best outcome would be a facelift/necklift with chin implant. Most plastic surgeons will do fat removal during a facelift procedure either with direct excision or Liposuction.I don’t think Liposuction alone is going to give you a great result.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
