When can I have a SECOND fat transfer session to the breasts?

Question

I had my first FT to the breasts 1.5 months ago. I naturally lost some of the fat transferred and now the breasts have settled with a total extra volume of around 150CCs ( Just as one would expect with a FT procedure). I want to have a second session, but SINCE I did a STEM CELLS enhanced fat transfer procedure, my dr. says I cannot have another session until 4 months later. Is this true? Do I have to wait until then?

Hi, I think its reasonable to wait 4 - 6 months between any kind of fat transfer as its important to let the transplanted fat latch on to a new blood supply and settle down. With time the breast will soften and the tissue spaces will relax, this will allow your PS to place more fat in, if you rush the process and shove more fat in before the old fat is well settled, not only are you risking the loss of the new fat cells but also of the old cells. I generally tend to recommend leaving things 6-12 months before undergoing repeat AFT procedures. This is both for the breast tissue to soften but also help for the donor sites to settle. You should not try and rush things.

I
normally wait for one year for the second session of fat grafting.
The
reason for this delay is that the
first session amount of fat graft should
become part of body totally normally
establishing blood supply and physiology
as good as rest of the tissue in the body.
Once
this stage is reached that the body is ready for the second session.
