Will I lose the fat transferred to my lower eyelid if I lose weight?

i had fat transfer done to my lower eyelid ,if i lose weight will i lose that fat that was put under my eyelids?

Fclark:  Yes, the fat cells which were transferred to your lower eyelids will enlarge and shrink with weight gain or loss just like they did wherever they came from.  If you lose a significant amount of weight, you may notice a reduction in the volume of transferred fat.  Once you reach a stable weight you could have the procedure repeated but you must be careful not to put the weight back on as that will cause the opposite problem and can look quite un natural.Best of luck to you!

Your question about losing the fat with weight loss is a good one.  The truth about fat is that when you gain or lose weight all your fat cells will gain or lose.  If the amount is not too significant then you will not likely see much change.  If you lose weight and think you may want more fat grafting then I would suggest you see if you can maintain that new weight for at least 6 months.  It would be unfortunate to do additional fat grafting only to see it over-expand if your weight increased.

How long ago did you do your fat transfer?  If you lose a significant amount of weight you may notice that the transferred fat may decrease.  However with modest weight loss you should be fine. Similarly people who gain a lot of weight may have enlargement of the transferred fat to the face.
