My butt feels hard on the side post-fat transfer. Is this normal?

When you have surgery to both of your buttocks, their recovery will impossibly totally symmetric.There will always a  difference between the two sides.You normally need to allow 4-6 weeks for this to settle completely.If firmness still exists after that time, one can start to consider other options, but at this stage you do not really need to be concerned.

Swelling after a BBL is normal and this may make the area feel firm. However, fat necrosis can also be very firm and no one here can be sure what is going on without an exam. You should see your plastic surgeon for an examination and to be sure. 

This firmness of your buttocks can be normal.  Swollen ankles can occur but you need to minimize this by elevating them when you are lying down.  The swelling needs to followed very closely!

Large volume fat transfer is a significant surgical procedure, and considerable swelling is nearly always seen.  You are only a few weeks postop so yes, the hard feeling you describe is normal.  Everyone is different but it may take up to three months or more to resolve.  Hang in there, you are very early in the healing process.  Things will get a lot more normal feeling with time.  

Firmness after a BBL is often due to swelling of the tissues after the procedure. This usually softens with time. If concerned then see your surgeon.

Yes it can be normal but continue to check with your surgeon to be sure there us no sign of infection or seroma, a fluid collection.  After fat injection the area may remain hard for 3 months or longer.  Best to you. 

It is still early to be sure, but firmness on one side may be swelling or fat necrosis (death).  It is important to understand that because fat is living, it needs to be placed in a way that maximizes its survival, and not unlike planting seeds in the ground, over placing fat can result in many of the parcels not surviving and this can feel firm...but you will need time to wait this out and see. You are less than 2 weeks out. These symptoms are expected that early after this procedure. Fat transfer is a 6 months' process and it may take that long to expect your final result. It may not hurt to share your concerns with your plastic surgeon and have him evaluate you.
