Is it possible to shape my nose into the after photo images I created?

Imaging is a very useful tool to help set appropriate expectations going into surgery.  From your images it appears you are trying to create a more defined nasal dorsum (bridge).  Although you did not show profile photos, to get the result you are showing would likely require building up the height of the dorsum.  In addition you narrowed the tip.  These are all reasonable expectations for surgery, but it is difficult to say how realistic without in person examination.  Just as you have done with the forward facing photos, imaging can be done on the profile photos.  Imaging done on the profile photos often gives a better idea of the ultimate result than the front views.

The African American nose can be made smaller overall. The biggest improvement happens in the wide nostrils through the use of Alarplasty. Please keep in mind that a computer created image can never be duplicated but is only a rough estimate of what to expect in terms of change. RegardsDr J

Without a physical examination it's impossible to say but it looks from the video imaging is though your expectations are realistic.

Absolutely - you may need some cartilage to be harvested from your septum or your ear to create a fuler nasal dorsum. Your goal is realistic, no doubt.

obvious that you've been doing your research, and that's good. Keep in mind
that aesthetic surgery can create some really impressive results, but nothing
is guaranteed. Although the images you've created look fairly reasonable, you
won't know how realistic they are for certain until an experienced plastic
surgeon evaluates your nose. He or she can explain what's possible and what

Photoshopping does not guarantee that the results can be obtained because the tissues respond differently than what can e done with a computer, but enhancing your dorsum, and maybe narrowing your  nasal width should be able to be accomplished.

 Narrowing a wide nose can be accomplished with African American rhinoplasty.  The images posted do appear to be obtainable  by an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon.  To narrow the bridge, osteotomies of the nasal bones are required. To narrow the tip, suture techniques are applied to the lower lateral cartilages.  Narrowing the nostrils requires an alar plasty  to be performed. All this is performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient surgical procedure. Anticipate at least 2 weeks of some degree of visible bruising and swelling after the procedure. Jay1670, no one can guarantee they can reproduce an image on a computer. Some of the worst post op results that I've had to revise from other surgeons were on patients who chose their surgeon based on the computer imaging. Anyone can do imaging but not too many are truly good at rhinoplasty. Also, you would need both structural rhinoplasty (cartilage added to your tip) and alar rim surgery. I
prefer not to alter the shape of the nostril at the time of the original
rhinoplasty. I wait until the tip has settled and presented itself to the point
that I feel comfortable taking this step. Why do I stage this? First of all it
is not reversible so if one takes this step it must be done as precisely as
possible. Secondly, when I change the projection, orientation and shape of the
nasal tip it will change the shape of the nostril in a way that is
unpredictable which harkens back to my first point. Finally it is a patient
friendly step, can easily be done under straight local, with minimal bruising,
swelling and post op discomfort. Good luck!

You should expect results very similar to the ones you posted, even a little better becouse in your photos you are not "treating" your dorsal projection, find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with experience in rhinoplasty, and you shouldn't have any problems.Best of LuckDr.Luis Redondo
