Droopiness of the eyelid could be caused by a variety of factors. Our studies have demonstrated that wearing contact lenses may cause eyelid ptosis. Regardless, it could be corrected unless it is part of a generalized muscle disease, which it is extremely rare. While your picture are not optimal for the assessment, you most likely have eyelid ptosis on both sides and it is not noticeable on the right side because of 2 reasons. One reason is that you most likely are recruiting your forehead muscle to lift the right eyelid which also raises your right eyebrow. The second reason is that your right eye (the globe) is sightly more forward on the right compared to the left. This type of asymmetry is extremely common. You need to consult a plastic surgeon who is familiar with these matters and eyelid ptosis correction.
You have a ptosis of the left upper eyelid. See an oculoplastic surgeon who can evaluate your eyelid muscles and decide what would be best to elevate the low lid.
Ptosis of the affected eye can occur as the levator aponeurosis of the affected eye attenuates with age. An upper lid blepharoplasty that tightens the levator can correct this.

First of all, I don't think that you look ugly. You have minimal ptosis (droopiness of the eyelid level) that can be corrected from behind the eyelid without making a skin incision. After the level is even, you can evaluate your upper lids and possibly remove some skin and underlying fat if desired. Good luck
Thank you for your question and photo. You have eyelid ptosis or drooping on the left. This is usually caused by loosening of one of the eyelid muscles. TIghteing of that muscle under local anesthesia is effective for addressing this problem. Best wishes.
Hi there. Please understand that the definitive answer rests with an in-person evaluation and consultation. At this stage, Botox may be an effective intervention for the symptoms described. Hope this is helpful. Best wishes.
Thank you for sharing your question. Unless you have very unusual eyelids that you were born with, it is unlikely that you are a candidate for eyelid surgery at your age. Make an appointment with an experienced board-certified Oculoplastic Surgeon if you have questions. Good luck.
Put some warm compresses on 4 times a day. THey usually will start to improve after a few days. If the whole lid gets red, warm and tender, then you may need antibiotics. If not, let it resolve which can take a while. If it doesn't go away see an oculoplastic surgeon who...
Thank you for your question. The range of Pupillary distance varies widely depending on the structure of the face and racial characteristics. If your face looks fine otherwise, I would not bother measuring the distance. Please do not plan on spending a fortune for unnecessary procedures....
Great question! Many people develop bulging fat pockets around the eyes as a process of aging or just your genetics. A better photo to show the fat pockets on the lower eyes is straight on with the eyes looking upward. In the right lighting there are usually three fat pockets...
Levator repair consists of tightening of the levator muscle that raises the eyelid and is often performed through the same incision, and often at the same time as an upper lid blepharoplasty. Tightening of the levator will not pull down the brow but removing too much skin during the upper...
