How to widen distance between eyes? (get wider set eyes)

Question

I just read the average distance is 64mm for males. i just measured mine, and it is 55mm. there is so many things i want to change on my face, probably easy 250k worth. but is it possible to get wider set eyes? What surgery should i be looking at? I don't care how much it costs as my face is already going to cost me more than buying a house. Thanks

Thank you for your question.The range of Pupillary distance varies widely depending on the structure of the face and racial characteristics.  If your face looks fine otherwise, I would not bother measuring the distance. Please do not plan on spending a fortune for unnecessary procedures. Unfortunately the face is not a car engine.  Every surgery has associated with it unexcepted results.  As these accumulate, which inevitably they will, you will look more and more bizarre.  Rather than sending a fortune on wrecking your face, I encourage you to spend some money with a psychologist to explore why you feel so compelled to do this to yourself.

You are referring to what oculoplastic surgeons call the "PD" or pupillary distance.  There is a very wide range of normal for this distance and 64 mm is certainly on the higher end.  I would not recommend cosmetic surgery to change your PD.  It will certainly leave you with worsening asymmetry and likely double vision.
