How long does Botox in the front matismal bands of the neck last? Any other precautions in this area for Botox?

The duration of effect from neurotoxins can vary between individuals between 2 to 6 months, but in the majority of people it is 3 to 4 months. It is iffective in treating platysma band if the bands are du to active muscle contraction or excess muscle tone. It will not work if there is skin and muscle laxity. A careful examination will determine the nature of the bands. It is important to know the neck anatomy precisely to do a safe and effective injection.

BOTOX is very effective for the platysma bands that form along the neck. These thick muscle bands can be relaxed with BOTOX injections and last an average of 3 months. Knowledge of neck anatomy is essential in providing safe and effective injections.

best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Botox for platysmal banding should last approximately 4 months.   Make sure you specifically look
at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery
performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most
important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend
that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who
can evaluate you in person.
