Exilis or Ultherapy for downturned mouth - Which has better results? And which would be better or for my skin? (photo)

Question

I've notice a slackening in my skin which is causing a downturn in my mouth and marionette lines. My skingal recommended filler and Botox on the depressor muscles. I had Botox but it doesn't appear it was effective. I don't want filler if possible...I don't like the way faces look with filler. Looking at Ultherapy or Exilis. Does anyone have experience with both treatments? Which has better results? And which would be better or for my skin? If I get filler, do I get it before or after?

A downturned smile or permanent frown can be improved with a combination approach, including neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau), injectable fillers, and radiofrequency skin tightening treatments such as Thermage or Venus Legacy. Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Facial skin laxity is a result of loss in facial fat. Fillers are a great option to restore volume loss, while Exilis can help tighten areas of facial laxity but will not restore volume. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. Hello there,
     In my experience, a combination of treatments is best for this concern. The downturn you are experiencing is from several different occurrences. As we age we lose volume due to bone and fat loss. We also lose elasticity and firmness in the skin. Lastly, we get an increase in ligament laxity. All of these contribute to what you are experiencing. I would recommend Ultherapy to tighten deep tissue and encourage collagen and elastin growth. In my experience it is the most consistent treatment for this. I would recommend filler after the Ultherapy swelling has subsided. I actually would recommend Sculptra over conventional filler since it has additional benefits long-term, and will slowly build on the Ultherapy treatment, as well as add volume. I would definitely recommend speaking with a professional so that they can examine your facial structure more closely. Good luck!

The the reason is she downturned mouth corners in your case is because your face has lost a great deal of volume. by restoring facial volume with autologous fat grafting it down turned mouth will correct itself. Also, using a small amount of Botox in the DAO I will help you as well. Neither excellus or ultherapy are going to help you, in fact they may result in more troubles ahead.
