Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. It is suggested to wait at least 3 months between these treatments if you are treating the same areas of concern. Coolsculpting freezes fat cells and can take up to 3 months to see a final result, while Exilis is doing the opposite using radio frequency to heat fat cells. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
Hello there, The answer to this can go several directions. If the patient is numb in the treatment area due to the Coolsculpting, then Exilis is very much contraindicated (the patient could experience a burn). If the patient is not numb, then Exilis can safely be done in the treatment area to tighten skin. I would be hesitant to treat the fat in the area with Exilis since we will not know the full effect of the Coolsculpting for several weeks/months. I would not want to risk removing too much, or unnecessarily treating a patient who will soon have minimal fat to treat anyways. Hope this helps. -Sarah RN BSN
Hey there...thanks for your question! We generally advise our patients to wait at least three months to treat the same area with Exilis following the CoolSculpt procedure.
After coolsculpting you need to wait 4 weeks before doing exilis. the reason for this is with coolsculpting you lose sensation in areas and with Exilis you need to be able to feel the heat to let the provider know so you don't end up with excess heat or burning of an area.
