Steri strips are placed on incisions and generally will stay on between 7-10 days. Good luck.
I appreciate your question. I perform a liposuction breast lift that removes tissue from the areas you don't want such as near the armpit and the lower portion hanging near your stomach. Once I use this to shape the breast I then remove the skin to tighten the breast and create a better shape with nice cleavage. Since I perform this less invasively the recovery time is faster. The size would depend on the proportion with your body versus going for a cup size. I use skin glue and waterproof dressings for 3 weeksThe best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. The patient will go home in a bra or with onlylight dressings over the incision lines. Sutures are dissolvable but an endingknot, if present is removed within 1-2 weeks. Initial discomfort is easilycontrolled with oral medication. Light activities may be started in 7-10 days. The best answer to this question will be received from your surgeon as it is based upon your procedure and the incision(s) you receive.
At least for the first week. Your surgeon will apply some more after the sutures are removed. They hold the skin edges together and are very important to leave in place
Thanks for your question. I used to have my patients remove Steri-Strips in 1 to 2 weeks postop, although I tend not to use them anymore as they can cause tape blisters. Your surgeon is the best person to answer this question. I suggest you contact him/her to get their advice. Best regards.
Steri strips usually hang around for 1-2 weeks after the procedure. If your plastic surgeon wants to replace them he/she will do so after they fall off. Dissolvable sutures are always placed under the steri strips.
Hello and thank you for your question. Steri strips after surgery should stay in place as long as your doctor recommends for them too. Once the steri strips are placed you should try to leave them on until they fall off on their own and replace only per your doctors orders. The steri strips are there not only to protect the incisions but also to keep the scar nice and flat as it heals. Best of luck with the rest of your healing!
Steri-strips are usually left in place about a 1-2 weeks, depending upon your surgeon's routine. If the skin is becoming red and irritated from the strips, then contact your plastic surgeon. If this occurs, you may have a skin sensitivity to the adhesive and should have the strips removed sooner. Good luck
I would contact your PS as every surgeon has different policies. I usually advise patients to try and keep the steristrips on for a week.
