Most likely what you have is a scalp condition known as cutis verticis gyrata. This is where linear indentations occur along the scalp which are usually very uneven and can be quite deep. (hence the term gyrata...looking like the surface of the brain) This is not due to excessive fat or skin as this would appear as horizontal rolls at the back of the head. The scalp is usually quite firm and immobile. This is a very difficult condition to improve but cutting them out or liposuction is not an effective option. I have used releases combined with injectable fat grafting with some moderate success at lessening the indentations.
