What Are the Early Signs of Necrosis?

I'm developing somewhat dark coloring around my incision...almost like bruising. is the DK Color Around Incision Worrisome? I am exactly 4 Weeks postop. Please tell me the early signs of necrosis and when I'm in "the clear."

The earliest stage of marginal tissue necrosis is blistering.  If you see marginal blistering you should let your surgeon know as soon as possible.

A photo would help a lot more than an attempt at a description. 

	Usually the first finding would be a bluish discoloration just at the suture line. Next would be the appearance of a blister at the site, followed by either a leathery appearance or wound separation. 

	The only reassurance you can get is by a visit to your surgeon. All the best.
